Phenolphthalain

Every subject when studied deeply becomes philosophy. And to support this statement i have a little story to share.

Remember that first chemistry practical of std.11th when we were told to fill base (NaOH) in burette and take 10 ml of acid(HCl) in flask....Now suppose those chemicals as feelings, feelings of people like you and me. Let us take an example of hate vs love battle,and how it should go.When it comes to emotions, it's not just the matter of winning or losing but the matter of a relation. So here we have someone who hates us and we have that definite amount of hate in our conical flask (just like HCl) and here we are with our pure heart who has neither love nor hate for that person but can't tolerate the feeling of being hated.So just to nullify hatred we need love...we need effort and so we place our love in the burette (just like NaOH).Now begins the titration of emotions but will it be fruitful...ofcourse the acidity of hatred will be nullified by the alkalinity of love but what about the relation? So here we add the most essential ingredient of this recipe and that is two drops of indicator.Umm, in titration of acid base,we choose phenolphthalain as indicator but in titration of emotions we choose 2 drops of trust.Yes,so now when we keep adding love constantly into the flask of hatred in presence of trust...after some time we get a beautiful colour(light pink in case of NaOH and HCl), this colour is the colour of relation that we share with the other.And acid base titration might be ending here but the titration of emotion now changes into titration of relation and thus with addition of more and more love....the colour of relation changes into more and more deeper shade of it.So this is how it goes;the titration of emotions.
